Good Neighbour Scheme?

The Parish Plan for the Offords (click here for more information) highlighted a need for a good neighbour scheme operating in the village.  Such a scheme might include:

  • Visiting those who are housebound
  • Enabling those with limited mobility or without transport to attend village clubs and groups
  • Offering practical help such as a lifts to doctor’s appointments.
  • Befriending those new to the village, or who are struggling for whatever reason.

If you would like to be part of a small group that explores what we can set up, please contact Revd Ally (
Or you can come along to an open meeting on Tuesday 23rd April at 7.30pm in Offord Church Rooms, to hear from Heather Corbishly (from Cambs County Council’s Care Network) on how we can go about setting something up.
